I think the bright spot for us has been seeing and participating in all of the creative ways that members of our family, social circle, and community have found to provide support.
This has included preparing and exchanging food and supplies, like soup, diapers, and hand sanitizer; arranging for elaborately socially distanced play dates; carrying trampolines down the street to make it a bit more fun for the neighbors' kids to stay at home; helping a neighbor construct a swimming pool made out of pallets; having friends decorate our yard to celebrate our birthdays; seeing our nine-year-old offer a constant source of companionship for our four-year-old. “Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.” 1 Peter 4:10 Rebecca Arnold Desmarais
